H2O Designs was engaged to design, manufacture, and install 130 lineal metres of custom curved lightweight concrete seating as part of the Liverpool CBD revitalisation project. Delivered in collaboration with Convil Group, this bespoke street furniture installation supports Liverpool City Council’s vision of creating vibrant, accessible, and people-focused public spaces.

Designed to complement the surrounding landscape architecture and upgraded streetscape, the seating provides a durable and visually striking addition to the public realm. The flowing curved forms encourage social interaction, improve amenity, and contribute to a more welcoming and connected urban environment. The seating also incorporates integrated timber bench seats, provisions for LED lighting, and stainless steel skate deterrents, enhancing both functionality and long-term durability within a high-use urban environment.

Each lightweight concrete bench was precision fabricated in our Melbourne facility as a series of modular components, allowing curved forms to be assembled efficiently on site while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

This project demonstrates how innovative street furniture and modular construction can enhance the functionality, durability, and character of contemporary public spaces. The completed installation delivers a robust, low-maintenance seating solution that integrates seamlessly with the landscape design while supporting the ongoing transformation of Liverpool CBD.
