Ti Tree Lodge Mylar Lace Water Feature

h2o designs collaborated with CDesign and Aged Care Developments to create a feature element which would suit the grand entrance of the Ti Tree Lodge foyer. The result was a magnificent Mylar lace water feature at approximately six meters in height. The design was inspired by the openness of the reception/foyer, drawing the eye upwards and creating a relaxing ambiance which is heightened by the soothing sound of water.

The highlight of this feature are the 35 individual back-lit Mylar lace ribbons which create the appearance water falling from the ceiling. This stunning effect is a more subtle variation of the traditional water wall and was better suited to this interior space. The custom-built stainless steel components were recessed into the ceiling to create a streamlined appearance.

At the base of the water feature is a catchment reservoir with surrounding planter boxes, both made from LICOM76™, which house the hydraulics setup for the water feature as well as add greenery to the area.

The water feature is manufactured with LICOM76, a lightweight concrete composite, in a polished concrete / ferring coat finish; mylar lace ribbons and custom-designed stainless steel components.
